Winbrick 96 Full Version
Hey again folks! Welcome back to Kralich's mystery box of mods and today it's about 3D Winbrick 2001 - a nifty little Arkanoid clone from 2001 with a bunch of extra features, made by Stefan Kuhner! I played the shareware version at my grandmother's house when I was a kid and always wanted to play my own levels, but couldn't. Over the last few years I spent some time trying to dig up first the name of the game from my memory, then a full version. I had no luck for most of that time.
Then, recently, Firebird_Man on Reddit sent me the full version of the game - success! Or not, because it turns out the level editor had to be registered separately (boo and hiss). Luckily, Hexadecimal Mantis - whose name you might recognise from my Bionicle Heroes mods as he has made a lot of them possible in the first place - was able to whip up a Cheat Engine script bypassing the checks for the level editor registration so I could make levels! This script is not public right now as he's refining it further for public release, but it was enough for me to make use of for this mod, so a big thank you to both of these two for making this revival pack possible
3D Winbrick 2001 was almost the game that got away, when it comes to modding - without a full version, then without access to the level editor, I couldn't save levels, and so even if the game was technically moddable out the box, it was just a little out of reach. I never gave up hope I'd be able to make good on this though and thanks to Firebird_Man and Hexadecimal Mantis, I managed to make the level pack of my childhood, finally. All of my mods for old obscure games dig up someone who remembers and has a nostalgia trip, so if that person is you, I'm glad you can share in the good vibes. I might make individual levels for Winbrick 2001 now and then if the fancy takes me, and in those cases I'll upload it to the addons section on ModDB for the base game. I'm also planning to write up a tutorial when the script is publicly available so that others can make their own levels if they like. In the mean time, thanks for reading, and stay bricking!

This game has an explosive number of possibilities which will draw all of your skills! There are thousands (3DWinBrick2001 & WinBrick2000 & WinBrick96) of different levels with compressed action. You are able to manage this challange alone or with (or against) your friends! One to four players are possible. 256 simultaniously displayed objects will produce a high-speed arcade game, which you have never seen on any system yet.With this 3D version of WinBrick, you have a full real time rendered 3D scene of the playfield with all objects. Lots of graphical effects make the game real fun to play. You can rotate around the playfield to see behind big bricks, and you are always playing from the bottom, because game turns itself according to your position.
This guide assumes you've got a full copy of 3D Winbrick 2001 installed. If you're struggling to find a copy, consult this Reddit thread for a link. You will need Cheat Engine installed as well as downloading the script you can find in the files section on-site here. This guide is not on specifically the mechanics of making custom levels in Winbrick as the game itself describes that - instead, this guide will focus on circumventing the lock on the level editor in 2022.

In 1988, Irvan made a bid for NASCAR Rookie of the Year, driving Ulrich's No. 2 Kroger Chevrolets and Pontiacs. Irvan competed in 25 of the 29 Winston Cup Series events, losing rookie-of-the-year honors to Ken Bouchard by three points (242-239) in the closest battle in Winston Cup history. Irvan's best finish of the year was 11th at Martinsville in September. He finished 26th in the final points standings with winnings for the year totaling $96,370. In 1989 Irvan started all 29 races in his first full year in the Winston Cup Series behind the wheel of Ulrich's U.S. Racing Pontiac. Irvan started 25th at Bristol in April and caught leader Mark Martin after 38 laps. Irvan went on to lead 56 laps before being sidelined in an accident on lap 167. Irvan's sixth-place finish at Martinsville in September gave him his best of four top-10 finishes for the year. Irvan finished 22nd in the final standings for the year with winnings totaling $155,239.
Two weeks later, on September 3, 1999, surrounded by his wife and two children, Irvan announced his retirement from driving at a tearful press conference in Darlington, South Carolina. While he would fully recover before the end of the 1999 season, the reasoning for his retirement was to prevent future incidents while he had a family to support.
